Happy New Year everyone.

Look out for the notice calling for items for the Agenda of a Members Meeting Scheduled for March 1^st at 12:30. Submissions need to be seconded by another member.

World Golf Croquet Championships take place in Tasmania in February.  The  pre tournament  warm up games are provisionally scheduled at Brighton on 11^th,12^th and 13^th February. More info when we have it finalised.

We are not sure yet on the number of teams coming but have started some planning.

We hope many will come to watch this high standard play and we also hope there will be Volunteers  to assist with some minor catering  and help around the club house( an hour or so a day). Please watch out for a sign up sheet at the club  or email Julie –jlove29105@gmail.ccom

 Club BBQ on 13^th Feb.  Join  with the visitors for a BBQ and club social from about 4:30.

Please advise if able to come( bring a partner if you like) and if willing to help organise (shopping, cooking, salads ) sign up at club. $10 per head

Volunteers 

The  3 social events before Christmas (club hire ) raised a total of over $2K.  Thank you to all of you who helped- it was good fun!.

The  Bunnings sausage sizzle on Saturday 28^th  raised  almost $2K.  Once again thank you for all those who helped and especially to the family members who filled in spaces on the roster -Greta Frankham and Simon Love and of course Michael and Julie who work so hard!.

Line marking.

After a few glitches the charger is working and we have had several people participate in line marking-It takes about 1 hour but more if the lines need to be “strung” to indicate where the line is. Very useful to have 2- 3 helpers each time- especially if “stringing”.  It’s easier to do on a Friday after mowing because the boards are out of the way but can be done anytime there is no play.

Training is available for members.  It does not need to be done every week-depends on growth and rain.

Spread the workload -Sign up at the club with a couple of friends for the next time the lines need doing. Add this skill to your skill set.

Twilight social play- 4pm -7pm

Fridays – 31^st January,  28^th February,  28^th March

Come and play some fun games- bring a beverage and nibbles to share

Golf Croquet Training (TMA)

A reminder of the dates – Thursday 13^th March (all day – no Association play),   Wednesday 19^th March

Club Championships

We will start the club Association divisions Championships in March.  Watch out for signs or email Julie.

It would be good to have a Golf competition too -perhaps after the next TMA Classes?

Would any member like to assist as Events coordinator. The role mainly consists of:

Maintain Event Diary, act as point of contact for queries/EOI (email / phone),  liaise with booking contacts, manage booking fees and invoices, confirm event dates, times and numbers and contact details, organise volunteers to coordinate and run croquet games

Child safety

You will see some posters at the club- We are required to comply with new legislation.
