July Newsletter
Hi everyone, I’m back from my rather long holiday in Europe (beautiful weather, lots of painting, family and friends visited and weddings attended!). The club has been in the good hands of the committee under the leadership of Clive and Bill , proving that no one is indispensable!
The committee met today to fine tune details for the AGM and Members’ Meeting – Sunday July 27th at 12 30 pm
We have called for nominations for committee so have a think about how you can contribute. If you don’t like committee meetings, there are several roles that members can take on, especially:
Line Marking! ( training offered)
but also – gardening, cleaning, club promotion, maintenance, fundraising, defibrillator checking, shopping and restocking, Web and Facebook management, social event, etc.
Lawns
Matt has been keeping the lawns in excellent condition and the committee unanimously voted to continue his contract.
Croquet
AC players are currently playing in the Cavalier Challenge- a handicapped tournament for any member wanting to play.
The last of the GC training sessions is now complete – sounds like most players got something out of this great opportunity provided by Croquet Victoria
Elwood Croquet Club
The planned work at Elwood club has been further delayed – more news regarding the move when we have it.
