BCC Newsletter from Committee 12th June, 2024

Hi everyone,

“Antiques Roadshow” Many members enjoyed taking their interesting items for review, had a pleasant lunch and earned $500 for the club

The Working Bee  Monday  13th May was very productive- thanks everyone who helped. The gardens are looking really  tidy and attractive. We intend to plant some shrubs along the front of the clubhouse to finish it off.

Another Working Bee is planned for Wednesday 26th June at 1pm for about an hour. This time the purpose is cleaning- especially the kitchen and toilets, window ledges etc.

AGM 1230 Sunday 28th July

Come and share  a light lunch  at 1200 . Quiche and Salad provided, feel free to bring something sweet.

All members are encouraged to attend. There will be feedback from committee and an opportunity for questions. Elections take place for the committee and fees are confirmed or varied. Official notification will be posted 14 days prior to meeting, nominations for committee must be seconded and accepted by the nominee and delivered to the secretary 7 days before the AGM. Nomination forms will be made available.    A Members meeting will follow.

Annual Fees and Re-enrolment– notices will be sent out at the end of June for payment in July

Association

Championship Association Croquet has taken place, Div 4 complete with Veronica Tilly winning –Division 3 has been won by Julie Love and Division 2 by Bill Marks- Congratulations to all the winners and to everyone for joining in!

Brighton won Division 3, Autumn Pennant – well done Julie, Paul and Veronica

Brighton open Association Croquet tournament will take place Friday August 30- Sun 1st inclusive and Sept 6th – 8thinclusive.

Golf Croquet

It’s good to see how many members are enjoying play on Golf days- lets hope the weather continues to cooperate.
