UPCOMING EVENTS
SEASON OPENING
Ensure that Thursday 18th September is locked into your diaries for our season opening event. The Bayside Mayor, Cr Hanna El Mouallem will be attending with other Bayside Council representatives. There will be representatives from other clubs and the President of Croquet Victoria, Kate Patrick, will also attend. In order to create a sense of occasion we need as many members as possible to attend. Proceedings will commence at 12.30 PM.
We will be self-catering for the event, so please bring a plate if possible. There is a notice on the board for members to list what they will bring. We also need an idea of numbers, so please include your name on the Board if you are able to attend.
SENIORS EVENT/BAYSIDE HEALTHY AGEING
BCC will be hosting two seniors’ events as part of the State Government’s Victorian Seniors Festival which runs for the month of October. It also coincides with the Bayside Healthy Ageing program. The club has set aside Thursday 9th and Wednesday 22nd October for some relaxed croquet between 1 & 3.30 PM.
We will need members to help out and to provide some guidance to our visitors. To attract attendance from our local community, a flyer will be distributed and the event will be promoted on our Website.
There is no way of predicting how many guests will attend, so we will need to be flexible.

BAYSIDE REGION COMMITTEE AGM
The Annual General Meeting of the Bayside Region Committee will be convened at the Brighton Club house on Monday 29th September, commencing at 1 PM. All members are welcome. The meeting is an opportunity to hear what is happening at other clubs in the region and to support your representatives on the Committee.
CAVALIER CHALENGE
Each year Association players participate in the Cavalier Challenge Tournament. It gives everyone a chance to compete on a handicap basis. The competition is enjoyed by all participants irrespective of ability.
The final of the Challenge will be played on Saturday morning (13 September) commencing at 10.00 AM. After a very close and hard fought competition, the finalist are Harley Johnstone & Simon Watkins.
Post games (and pre game for those brave enough) food & drink will be provided for all attendees. ALL are welcome.
END OF YEAR FUNCTION
The date of our annual end of year function will be Sunday 30 November commencing at 12.00 PM. We are hoping to see as many members and guests attend as possible for a relaxed afternoon of merriment and even some croquet for those up to it. More to come!
BCC ASSOCIATION TOURNAMENT
The BCC tournament held over 29-30 August & 5-7 September was a great success. A number of clubs throughout Victoria were represented and in Division 1 we managed to attract three of the top ranked players in the State who certainly presented a challenge for lesser ranked players, who no doubt learnt a lot through the experience. The results were:

Div 3 Winner Kate Patrick, Runner Up Minn Stewart
